Will of God

“So the first definition of God's will, the first type you could say of God's will that we'll discuss this morning is God's will of decree. God's will of decree. This is everything that God has ordained and brings to pass. It's what we mean when we say that everything that happens happens according to the will of God. It can also be referred to as God's sovereign will or God's prevailing will. God's will of decree is everything that God ordains and brings to pass.”

“And so we follow God's word and we learn God's word, not so that we can just pile up a list of rules in our head, but so that we can joyfully and lovingly obey the God who sent his son to die for us and that we can have relationship with him. We don't just read God's Word in order to gain more head knowledge. We read God's Word in order to be with and have a relationship with the God who wrote it.”
